Comicbook hero Daredevil enters the blu-ray arena on April 20. Ben Affleck plays the blind hero with super senses. Haven’t seen this movie yet, but hopefully it will be better than his later performance in Hollywood land as  the original superman.

Daredevil Blu-ray comes with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1

Fans of Frank Millers dark and violent noir comic books have a treat in store in May as both Sin City and The Spirit are being unleashed on Blu-Ray. Sin City is the 2005 tale of redemption and revenge starring Bruce Willis and Mickey Rourke, whilst The Spirit is the 2008 flick about a ghost cop and stars Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johansson.  Sin City is out on May 4th whilst The Spirit hits shelves on the 25th.

The two-disc edition of Sin City will feature both the restored theatrical version (disc 1) and a recut, extended and unrated version (disc two) plus a shed-load of extras like an all green-screen version, sin city live in concert, and many behind the scenes like ‘convincing Frank Miller to make the film’, about the props, special effects make-up and costumes.

Iron Man's a Smoking hot Blu-Ray Well Worthy of Five Stars

With Iron Man 2 filming as we speak and due to hit theatres in April next year now is as good a time as any to acquaint yourself with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jnr) a drunken billionaire weapons manufacturer with more ego than Howard Hughes.

When captured by terrorists who want to use his weapons for their own ends Stark is forced to give in or fight back, thankfully he fights back and so is born Iron Man, what follows is a 2 hour thrill ride of great one liners, top draw special effects and more action than you can shake a shaky stick at.

This film is probably one of the best Blu-Rays out there at the moment. It is definitely one to grab if you want to impress your friends your shiny new Blu-Ray set up, visuals are pristine and the TrueHD soundtrack is exceptional. Extras are great, with an extensive look at the comic books from the original drafts to current editions being the stand out, and numerous other features and docs all spread over 2 discs. Overall a cracking package – roll on number two!

I just watched Watchmen in the cinema the other day, a great movie and can’t wait for the Blu-Ray release. Expect this to be another few months though. In the mean time there is a animated comic feature to be released April 6th called Watchmen: Tale of the Black Freighter. This is a 63 minute HD flick. Have you seen it?

The brilliant comic book series will get complete on Blu-Ray with the release of The X-Men Trilogy Blu-Ray Collection on April 20th. As expected it will be in Full HD 1080p and a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio Soundtrack, so you can really her Wolverines metallic claws ripping through the flesh of the bad guys.
