Apparently after finishing shooting Saving Private Ryan, Spielberg and Hanks still hadn’t had enough of WWII. And the outcome is nothing but spectacular. During ten intense hours, this mini series depicts the struggles of the 101st Airborne Division’s easy company, from training to final battle.
Throughout the whole series, you will be treated to an absolute exquisit HD experience; both in terms of picture and sound. The series is shown in 1080p Full HD resolution that is astonishingly detailed and vibrant. You can see details in faces and flesh that makes viewing the grizzly scenes much more intense. Adding to this is the masterfully mixed DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack that will throw you back in the sofa for each bomb that’s dropped and make you duck for bullets.
This mini series is an absolut must for any fan of the war genre, or just fan of high-quality TV. It also doesn’t hurt that it can be picked up for just over £30 at many stores. Great value for 10 hours of the best Blu-Ray action to date.
